Two mysterious women move into a run-down hotel, the Byzantium, at an English coastal resort. They have a sinister secret, one they’ve been keeping for a long, long time. Someone else knows the secret, and their past constantly threatens to catch up with them. This tale of the supernatural and malevolent – which surprisingly are often opposing forces – features lush cinematography, memorable performances, a labyrinthine plot spanning centuries, and bloody fantasy violence.
