English Language Learning Tablets - Playaway Launchpads

The Playaway Launchpads are a fun interactive learning tool for beginning and intermediate English as a Second Language Learners. Each device is preloaded with apps + games, comics or videos, tutorials, flash cards, and quizzes.

They do not require internet access and are portable for learning on the go. You don’t have to create an account or load anything on your phone or computer. Earphones are not necessary for audio playback.

There are two types of Launchpads.

One is focused on English Phrases. It can be used to learn words, phrases, pronunciation and more in American English.

The other is focused on English Grammar. This device can be used to learn English grammar basics such as nouns, verbs, tenses, grammar and writing.

Playaway Launchpads

Borrowing Information

All Launchpads are located at the Beatley Central location but may be requested as a hold from other branches. Suitable for adults.

Tablets may be borrowed for up to 14 days, and must be returned diurectly to the Circulation Desk. They may not be left in the book drop box, and they are not eligible for renewals.

Replacement costs for the tablet is $150.
