Using both primary and secondary sources, you can uncover information about past owners, property values, alterations and improvements, and perhaps even find a photograph or two. Governor L. Douglas Wilder

During the 48th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Program, this montage of former Virginia Governor L. Douglas Wilder was highlighted. The montage was created by the Alexandria Library Communications Office and the Local History and Special Collections Branch. Governor Wilder was the keynote speaker for this event and the montage was created in his honor.

The City of Alexandria honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a community program each year. The program in 2021 was virtual and was titled, ”The Fierce Urgency of Building the Beloved Community." It was presented by the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Planning Committee.
