PASSPORTS

New passport applications will be accepted at the Beatley Central and Barrett Branch libraries by appointment only.

Appointments can be made up to 7 days in advance and become available at 12 AM (i.e. each Saturday at 12 AM, the appointments for the following Saturday open up). Your best chance to get an appointment is to try in the morning—Mondays, Wednesdays and alternating Saturdays for Barrett, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for Beatley.  Saturday appointments are highest in demand, so trying to book at as early as possible is your best bet. If there is no availability, check back later or visit travel.state.gov to find other passport acceptance facilities in the area.

Processing times for passport applications are unusually long due to mail delays and application backlogs. Please click here to find out current processing estimates.

If you are a Virginia resident and need assistance in getting your passport in the next 14 days, you can contact Senator Mark Warner's office at 540-857-2676 or online here.
