Shortly before an election, unsavory news surfaces about a president who’s campaigning for a second term.  He calls on his favorite spin-doctor, who recruits a Hollywood producer and his colleagues to provide damage control.  To distract the public from the president’s indiscretions, they create a story about a fake war to feed to the media.  Although the team generates plenty of convincing reports, they have to keep up a relentless effort to stay ahead of skeptical journalists and politicians from the opposing party.
