Calling All Trash Trekkers!
If you are disturbed by seeing trash on the sidewalks and streets of this beautiful city; if you are concerned by the plastic bags and fast food cups floating down our gutters into the streams; if seeing one more discarded plastic water bottle on its way to the majestic Potomac River makes you want to scream; if you’ve asked yourself “what can I do?” --- come join us as we make a difference in the place where we live.
The Barrett Branch Library has formed a group of "trash trekkers". Working together, we’ll be cleaning up areas around the library on a regular basis. So grab your walking shoes and help us keep our streets - and the beings who live here - healthy.
Clean up supplies will be provided. Please dress for the weather as we will be outside. This activity will require the ability to walk at an easy pace and to bend to pick up items on the ground.

Parking: No library parking lot. Street parking is available. A paid parking lot is available on the 100 block of North Alfred Street.
