When a young boy nicknamed Fool breaks into the mansion of his neighborhood’s wealthy landlords, he discovers a house transformed into a nightmare prison filled with hidden passages, mutilated children, and a monstrous couple obsessed with control, purity, and punishment. As Fool fights to survive the traps lurking behind every wall, the horrors beneath the house slowly reveal themselves as the rotten heart of greed, abuse, and social cruelty made literal. Beneath its savage humor and grotesque thrills, The People Under the Stairs becomes a furious fairy tale about class oppression and survival — a story where the powerless finally tear down the walls built to keep them silent.
