As this based-on-fact Oddball Adventure begins, two experienced mountain climbers introduce themselves and tell the viewer about the HUGE mistake they made. Then the scene shifts to actors recreating the pair’s vacation in Peru, where locals tell them that nobody has ever climbed the west face of Siula Grande in the Andes and survived. They’re well equipped, and the lure of becoming the first to conquer a summit leads them to begin the ascent.  It isn’t long before they encounter the hazards that have defeated all previous attempts. Although it’s obvious from the opening scene that they actually survived, you’ll probably say to yourself repeatedly that nobody could have lived through the ensuing ordeal.
