The Oddball Adventures series continues in a parallel universe where the year 1941 is radically different from the one we know from history books. Emperor Napoleon V rules France, and for the last 70 years scientists have been mysteriously disappearing, depriving mankind of their inventions. Without radio, television, electricity, aviation, and the internal combustion engine, the world is mired in outdated technology powered by coal and steam. April, a gifted young inventor, her grandfather, her talking cat, and Julius, a young ruffian, begin a daunting quest to find April's parents, two of the missing scientists.
