Nina is utterly despondent after the untimely death of her boyfriend Jamie. Her desperation and despair in an early scene may prompt the viewer to wonder if this is really a comedy. Fortunately it isn’t long before she’s visited by the only person who could possibly console her: Jamie, returning as a ghost. Suddenly her life is better, albeit a bit stranger, than it’s been for a while. But living with a ghost and keeping up an appearance of normality for friends and family becomes an increasingly complicated affair.
