Public and private school students who attend a K-12 institution within the City of Alexandria are eligible for a Student Card, issued in partnership with their educational institute.
Students can use their Student Card to check out 3 books at a time and access all of Alexandria Library’s online resources, including databases, language learning tools, e-books, e-audiobooks, and more!
Student Cards can be used at all Alexandria Library locations. Alexandria Library has a central library, three branches, a local history library, and a law library.
Students can check out up to 3 books at once for 9 weeks with no renewals. Student cards may not be used to borrow audio-visual materials, such as DVDs, audiobooks, or interlibrary loans.
There are no fines for late materials. Student Cards with lost items will be frozen an no new items can be checkout out until the materials are returned or the lost fees are paid.
