LUCKY DAY EBOOK COLLECTION

eBooks are a popular choice at the Alexandria Library, but many times there is a long wait time to read a new title! 

With the launch of the Lucky Day eBook collection, you may be able to skip the line and check out that popular title you’ve wanted to read.  

Each day there will be a new selection to choose from! 

  • Go to https://alexandria.overdrive.com/ and see if the book you’ve been waiting for is available.  If so, snap it up!  
  • If you prefer to use Libby, go to:  https://libbyapp.com/library/alexandria
  • Titles will only appear online in the Lucky Day collection on Overdrive/Libby. 
  • If you don't see the collection on the Overdrive/Libby homepage it means that no titles are available.
  • Titles in this collection are only available for a 7-14 day loan and cannot be renewed, so read quickly!  
  • To spread the luck around, each patron is allowed one Lucky Day title at a time.
  • These titles are on a first-come, first-served basis.  

If you check out a Lucky Day title, you won’t lose your spot on the waitlist for the same title.  However, you can remove your hold as a courtesy to others waiting.
