During this workshop, Attorney Keshia will give an overview of copyright law and some of the key areas to know.

Keshia Joachim, Esq. will be discussing what is copyright law, what can be copyrighted, why it's important to copyright your work, how to copyright your work and copyright law in the news. At the end of the workshop,there will be time for questions and answers.

Please feel free to bring your lunch with you to this workshop. 

Keshia Joachim, Esq. has been in the legal field for over 14 years. She started off as an unpaid legal intern and worked her up to become an attorney. She is originally from Massachusetts, but has been in the Northern Virginia area for about 13 years now. She is a graduate of Suffolk University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Law. She then went to receive her Masters in Paralegal Studies at The George Washington University. Later she received her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Keshia started her law firm, K&A Law Group in June of 2021. Her law firm focuses on Trademark, Copyright, Business and Immigration law. She is passionate about helping business owners protect their brand and assisting immigrants in obtaining a better life in the US. When she is not practicing law, she loves to read, cook, travel and spend time with family and friends.
