Stories, music & movement activities for ages 2+ as we count towards 1000 Books.

Join us on the Columbus Street lawn for an in-person version of our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten programs with stories, music and movement activities. Bring a mat or blanket to sit on--no chairs please! Recommended for ages 2 and up.

The books we read count towards your 1000 Books Before Kindergarten list.  Not enrolled? Get a kit at any branch or signup online at alexlibraryva.org/1kbbk  

This program may be subject to weather related cancellation. Please check our website or call 703-746-1710 for program updates.  And you can still enjoy a story time with Miss Lisa any time of the day-- the  YouTube version of the programs are available at bit.ly/3cTBmQT
