WELCOME TO 1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN


With 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, parents/guardians are challenged to read to their children to get them ready to succeed! That's just 1 book a night for less than 3 years, 2 books a night for less than 2 years, or 3 books a night for less than 1 year. All books count, including rereads and storytime books. Pick up your welcome packet at any Alexandria Library Youth Services desk or sign up on Beanstack.

This program is ongoing and for all children who have not yet started Kindergarten.

¡BIENVENIDOS A 1,000 LIBROS ANTES DEL KINDERGARTEN!


Con 1,000 libros antes del Jardin de niños, los padres/guardianes tienen el reto de leer a sus niños para prepararlos para tener éxito. Eso significa tan solo 1 libro cada noche en menos de 3 años, 2 libros cada noche en menos de 2 años o 3 libros cada noche en menos de 1 año. Cada libro que lea a su hijo cuenta, incluso los libros que escuchan durante las horas de cuento. También cuentan las lecturas repetidas. Pase por su paquete de bienvenida a cualquier Biblioteca de Alexandria en el escritorio de servicios juveniles o inscríbase en Beanstack.

Este programa esta en curso y es para todos los niños que aun no empiezan el jardín de niños.
