Celebrate Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month with this "NY Times Notable Book." Chang-Rae Lee is a Korean-American novelist and a professor of creative writing at Stanford University.

This month's book is described as "Rich with commentary on Western attitudes, Eastern stereotypes, capitalism, global trade, mental health, parenthood, mentorship, and more." Let's Talk Books is the Barrett Branch's monthly book discussion group held on the second Monday of each month. We alternate between fiction and nonfiction. We are currently meeting via zoom but may meet in person at the Branch in the future. Please contact Athena Williams with any questions at awilliams@alexlibraryva.org.
