Oddball Cinema brings you all of the weird, eclectic, and lesser-known films you probably never saw in theaters.
James Stewart and Kim Novak play Shep and Gillian, neighbors in a New York apartment building. He’s a publisher, she’s a witch. He’s engaged, she doesn’t like his fiancée. With the help of her magical cat Pyewacket, Gillian casts a spell on Shep that makes him fall in love with her and break off the engagement. But now that she has him, what’s she going to do with him? The plot develops into an offbeat romance and a Christmas story with much of the action set in the witch and warlock community, which doesn’t celebrate the holidays in the traditional way. The performances of both the stars and the supporting players make this production an unforgettable tale of intrigue, mischief, magic, and love.
