NASA researcher Dr. Jessica Noviello will guide you on a tour of the ocean worlds in our Solar System and explain the importance of water in the search for life in exoplanetary systems.

NASA scientist Dr. Jessica Noviello will share her research about the global ocean nestled under a water ice shell on Jupiter’s moon, Europa. Because of its large ocean, Europa is one of the most prominent targets for astrobiology, or the search for and study of life on other worlds. But Europa is not the only place that harbors large amounts of ice and water; indeed, there are many ocean worlds in our Solar System that each have their own stories to share. Dr. Noviello will also speak to the importance of water in the search for life in exoplanetary systems and how we know that water is changing exoplanetary systems as well.
