Learn About Guide Dogs!

As one loses vision, learning about aids, resources, and services becomes very important. Getting around in the home as well as in public can be a difficult task. This is where guide dogs can be a great option for some!

We are happy to have Leslie Hoskins, Outreach Services and Community Engagement Manager at Leader Dogs for the Blind, join us to talk about their organization as well as the process of guide dog training and how one can learn to use a guide dog. Leslie is a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) and has her Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Ms. Hoskins comes with extensive experience and is excited to share how guide dogs can be an amazing companion to people who are blind or vision impaired.

Join us on Friday, December 17th at 1:00 pm via Zoom for this exciting discussion. Bring your questions!
