Learn about the trees native to Northern Virginia from the arborist for the City of Alexandria.

Please join us for a virtual presentation on the local and native trees of Northern Virginia and Alexandria's Urban Forestry program by Andrew Benjamin, Arborist with the City of Alexandria. Then on Saturday, September 25 from 10 AM to 12 PM, visit the Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center for an in-person guided hike through the trees of Dora Kelley Nature Park (adjacent to the center). Registration for these two events is separate.

Follow this link for information about the September 25 guided hike through the Dora Kelley Nature Park.

This event is provided in partnership with the Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center and Alexandria's Urban Forestry Program. The Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center provides year-round environmental education programs. For more information, visit alexandriava.gov/naturecenter.
