Award-winning local journalist and investigator Jim McElhatton, who has spent years investigating healthcare matters, will help consumer make more informed healthcare decisions in this seminar.
Jim McElhatton, of Alexandria, worked as a newspaper reporter for more than 15 years. A private investigator now, he continues to freelance and has won more than a dozen journalism awards for feature writing, environmental and investigative reporting over the years. As an investigator, McElhatton has years of experience investigating healthcare matters. Federal, state and local governments make public reams of information online about hospitals, nursing homes, rehab therapy providers and other medical professionals. But accessing this information isn’t always easy.
McElhatton’s seminar will provide consumers with some tips and free public resources to easily locate little known but important public health records to help consumers make more informed healthcare decisions.
