Join us for a night of storytelling for adults and seniors.
Five years ago, four women met at a storytelling workshop. Since then they have coached and encouraged each other in telling better stories. They have traveled together and performed together - even twice here in Alexandria. This year, we get to hear all four women again, each giving us a full hour of stories over the next four weeks. This is Stories From Friends - as these women are friends with each other and are reaching out from their homes to us, their Alexandria friends.
More about our Storyteller:
Cheryl is a retired litigator who practiced for 40 years in Los Angeles and Nashville. An African-American divorced mother of two sons and a bonus daughter, she came of age at a time when women and people of color were increasingly able to walk through doors opened by the advocacy and sacrifice of generations before. Drawing from history, her life experiences and cross-cultural folklore, Cheryl likes to tell stories of humor and inspiration about things that await to unite us beyond open doors.
