Join Jane Franklin Dance for this exclusive viewing of their show, "Complete Dogness." All ages.
Complete Dogness, a family friendly performance by Jane Franklin Dance is inspired by several sources. These include The Obstinate Pen by Frank Dormer, My Fair Lady a musical based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, Wet Pet Dry Pet Your Pet by Dr. Seuss, Wallace and Gromit a British clay animation comedy series created by Nick Park of Aardman Animations and poetry by Ogden Nash.
Incorporating spoken word, movement, music the story centers on a small family and a new puppy, Barky. The puppy has some bad habits, but with the patience of family and friends, Barky discovers her ability to learn new tricks.
"This is an intriguing, can’t-take-your-eyes-off-of-it show. The four women perform an energetic, muscular, almost gymnastic dance style, routinely lifting or supporting the spinning bodies of their cast mates. They seemingly have no fear as they dive for the floor and slide across it, or leap over one another. Doggone it! This is a fun show!" - Wendi Winters, DC Metro Theater Arts.
