Learn about the aftermath of a fire that happened at a local DC library.
Jerry McCoy, a librarian at the DC Public Library’s Peabody Room and Washingtoniana, will discuss the April 30, 2007 Georgetown Neighborhood Library fire and the efforts undertaken to salvage the contents of its Peabody Room, a special collections of Georgetown Neighborhood History; a similarity to the Los Angeles Public Library fire featured in The Library Book.
