We're back for our fall session featuring 4 new artists! Art Explorers is a themed story time followed by an art project that allows children to explore the techniques of famous artists. Each session will focus on one artist from history - a story time will introduce children to the artist's life and works and provide inspiration and context for the project that follows. The art project will be in the style of our weekly artist and will include everything from collage to painting with different mediums to drawing with oil pastels. The focus is early art appreciation and allowing children to explore their creativity. It's the process, not the product, that matters in Art Explorers!

Art Explorers is an independent experience for ages 4-7. Caregivers should expect to allow children to work independently but must stay in children's section for the entirety of the program. All supplies provided.

Registration required - space is limited to 18 children per session. Application forms will be available at the children's reference desk on Monday, September 16. Filling out an application form is not a guarantee of acceptance – accepted applicants will be emailed by Monday, September 30 to confirm their enrollment. Priority is given to children who have not yet been able to attend a previous session.

It is important to note that by registering, you are registering for a package of 4 sessions – it is not an option to register for single sessions of the program. If demand exceeds space limitations, names will be drawn and those who are not selected will be added to a waitlist. The waitlist will close when registration for the program closes. If there are any no call/no show participants for two sessions, they will forfeit their registration and their slot will be given to another child off the waitlist.
