- Manage medications that may increase your risk of falling

Presenter Carmen Pastor-Menendez has over 15 years of experience on Alzheimer’s disease advocacy in the fight for research studies, prevention, and care initiatives at the National, State, and local levels. She currently serves as Outreach Assistant of the Northern Virginia Falls Prevention Alliance at Marymount University promoting falls prevention programs within disadvantaged communities. She also works in creating partnerships with community stakeholders and other organizations from the public and private sector that can help disseminate our falls prevention programs. Additionally, she works for the Center of Optimal Aging at Marymount University where they provide health assessments to older adults in the DMV area and evaluate cognitive, physical and functional health. It also operates a mobile bilingual program for underserved communities.
