Kate Waller Barrett Branch Library
Second FloorThe author of eight Old Town Loves Mysteries will discuss his new book: "Patriots Circle."
John Adam Wasowicz has lived in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County for 40 years. He has practiced law in the public and private sectors since 1985, including service as an Asst. Commonwealth Attorney.
His first book, “Daingerfield Island,” published in 2017, introduced readers to the main character: attorney Mo Katz. Since then, Wasowicz has written seven additional mysteries tracing the adventures of Katz and his entourage as they solve crimes throughout Old Town Alexandria.
The eighth book in the series - "Patriots Circle" - is out on June 15, 2026.
Wasowicz describes himself as "an old school mystery writer" influenced by Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler, who he describes as two of the great masters of the genre. He has lectured at several Lifelong Learning Institute programs in Virginia about how writing keeps the mind agile as one ages.
Copies of his Old Town mysteries will be available at the talk for purchase and signing.
