In celebration of Arab American Heritage Month, please join us for a workshop on Dabke, a vibrant folk dance with roots in the Levant region (Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Palestine).
Dating back thousands of years to the Phoenician era, Dabke is performed in circles and lines at weddings, festivals, and joyous community gatherings. It serves as a powerful way to celebrate culture and reaffirm identity, with song lyrics often focusing on themes of love, patriotism, resilience, and social justice.
In this workshop, you will learn the basic steps of the dance. No prior experience is necessary—only a willingness to have fun and celebrate Arab American Heritage Month. Registration is required.
