Aspiring comics -- join local comedian Kerby Valladares to learn the ins and outs of stand-up comedy.

Are you the next Richard Pryor, Ali Wong, or John Mulaney? Only one way to find out! In this four-week course, learn how to craft a stand-up comedy set and get practice performing (but no pressure!). Join other aspiring comedians and support each other on your comedy journey with local comedian Kerby Valladares and guests. Participants who complete all four sessions will be invited to showcase their material at the Graduation Showcase.

  • May 7: Introduction to Comedy
  • May 14: Joke Writing
  • May 21: Finding Your Comedic Voice
  • May 28: Five Minutes to Funny (Preparing Your Set)

Recommended: Bring something to take notes with and a sense of humor.

Attendance at all sessions is required to graduate.
