Office of Historic Alexandria staff will join us to help unpack the differing concepts of ghosts, ghost stories, and other spirits raised in Jesmyn Ward’s novel "Sing, Unburied, Sing."
There will be an exploration of the roles that race, poverty, and inter-generational trauma play in the creation of literal and figurative ghosts of the "unburied" past and spiritual “gifts” as understood by communities across Alexandria and the American South.
Adults and older teens are welcome.
Registration is preferred, but not required.
