Want to be a skilled babysitter, ready for anything? Join HeartsCPR, American Red Cross partner, for a free, all-day babysitter training for ages 13-17. Slots are limited; reserve yours now!

Wanna-be and current babysitters ages 13 to 17! Join Burke Branch Library for a free, all-day training to sharpen your skills on childcare. This program is conducted by HeartsCPR, partner of American Red Cross. Certificates are valid for 10 years. Participants must provide a valid email address to receive their certificate.

Learn: 

  • Safety while babysitting 
  • Caring for choking
  • CPR and rescue breathing 
  • Appropriate ways to handle behavior challenges
  • How to pick up and hold infants and toddlers 
  • Bottle and spoon feeding 
  • Diapering 
  • Calling for help 
  • Getting your babysitting business started

Training will take place in the Meeting Room at the Burke Branch Library starting at 11 AM and running to approximately 5 PM with a break. A pizza lunch will be provided to attendees.
