Second FloorLearn about 400 years of Black history in Virginia through stories of struggle, strength, and community at Barrett Branch Library.
Join us for the opening of The Determined traveling exhibit, which traces four centuries of Black history in Virginia through the stories of extraordinary individuals who fought for equality and, in doing so, helped define our shared American ideals.
As a complement, the Local History/Special Collections Branch will present a PowerPoint highlighting Alexandria’s own stories of extraordinary individuals whose lives and legacies shaped the city's journey toward equality.
