Laura Whitman has worked as a doula for a birthing center for ten years and has facilitated 220 births! During the program she will provide a little background on being a doula and what that means for inquiring patients. Folks attending the program can expect to learn the following:
-What is a doula?
-A short history of doulas
-Labor/birth tools you can use (like a peanut ball!)
-How they help facilitate the labor plan the patient wants
-What a doula doesn't do
-Birthing center vs. a private doula and what to expect
