National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel. -- NaNoWriMo.org

In addition to resources to help you get started, Beatley Central is a hosting writing event on Wednesday, November 19, at 7 p.m. Learn how the Neuro-Linguistic Method can help improve your writing skills from Dr. Judy Pearson, a Master Hypnotherapist and a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Topics will include:

  • The NLP model for effective writing;
  • The NLP model for creative writing, based on the work of Walt Disney;
  • The language of effective story-telling;
  • The secrets of hypnotic language that will make your writing trance-inducing.

During November Beatley Central's small conference room will be available on Sundays from 1-4:30 p.m. for writers to use.
