Join her daughter, Bernice Steinhardt, President of Art and Remembrance, who will introduce an award-winning documentary about her mother, Through the Eye of the Needle, and share some of her memories of her mother.

StoryCorps visits Alexandria

Liberated Muse Presents "In Her Words"

A musical theatrical performance that celebrates the lives of Nina Simone, Zora Neale Hurston, Billie Holiday, Lena Horne and Lucille Clifton will be showcased at Beatley Central Library on Thursday, May 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. We welcome the talented Liberated Muse Arts Group, a collective of performers, writers, singers, actors and visual artists who gather to transform spaces into art places.



Tae Kwon Do at Burke and Duncan Branch Libraries
