The title character is an American football player who – by a series of events too complex to describe here – winds up on the planet Mongo, which is ruled by the diabolical Ming the Merciless who – for reasons to complex to describe here – has decided to destroy the Earth.  Ming takes Flash prisoner, but the beautiful princess Aura helps him to escape.  Further chases, escapes, fights, and flights ensue in a wild adventure based on the 1930s serial of the same name.
