Millions of years ago, aliens imprisoned a powerful monster on Earth in an effort to protect the galaxy from its violent rampages.  Fast-forward to the present, where a pre-teen brother and sister are digging a hole while their parents are only vaguely aware of what they’re doing.  The kids accidentally release the prisoner; luckily they also discover an amulet that’s the only thing in the universe that can control it.   When the monster declares that it’s time to fulfill its destiny to destroy all life in the galaxy, the girl wields the amulet and declares that, no, it’s time for the three of them to watch TV.  Cartoonish violence and body horror alternate with absurd scenes of the children trying to teach the monster some manners.
