In the late 19th century, armed conflict is so common that Captain Robur embarks upon a quest to end it. He constructs an armed airship from which he can bombard military targets with impunity. Scientists investigating the sounds from the airship’s base are captured and held prisoner, with no choice but to witness the destruction as Robur tries to extort “peace” from the world’s governments. Can the scientists stop him?
