Emergency Supply Drive

From September 5th through September 22nd please consider donating emergency supplies for English Language Learners, seniors and low-income families for emergency preparedness.
In partnership with Volunteer Alexandria, Alexandria Library will be collecting emergency supplies for English Language Learners, seniors and low-income families. Items may be donated at any Alexandria Library Branch, and should be new versions of the items below:
Travel size bug spray & sunscreen
Rain ponchos
Hand warmers
Duct tape
Hand sanitizer
Garbage bags
Waterproof matches
Dust masks
Wipes
First aid supplies
Items can also be dropped off at the City of Alexandria Emergency Preparedness Fair on September 22 in Market Square.
September 24-30 is Climate Prep Week! As a Climate Resilience Hub, Alexandria Library participates in this information week to help our community prepare and respond to our changing climate and extreme weather.
