Teens are invited to join in this documentary and discussion considering students' right to free speech in school. This event is for teens in grades 6-12.
We take for granted that the First Amendment to the Constitution states:
Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...
But how does freedom of expression apply to students?
We'll watch the short documentary First Amendment: Student Freedom of Speech produced by the Annenberg Public Policy Center and talk about the film and our own ideas.
