Oddball Cinema brings you all of the weird, eclectic, and lesser-known films you probably never saw in theaters. Click on the event title for more info!
When an outbreak of dog flu spreads through the city of Megasaki, Japan, Mayor Kobayashi orders that all dogs be sent to nearby Trash Island. There the dogs organize themselves into a society that’s considerably more civilized than what develops in Lord of the Flies. Meanwhile, Kobayashi’s nephew sets out for the island to rescue the dog that was his companion and bodyguard. The writing, direction, animation, and voice acting are all superb and make this a feature not to be missed by fans of offbeat films.
