Is your home energy efficient? Thermal cameras have the answer! Come to this free demo to learn how to use a camera and then check one out from the library!
Energy efficient homes help reduce electric bills and keep our homes comfortable no matter what the weather is outside! Consistent with the City of Alexandria's Eco-City principles and goals of the EAP2040, we want to celebrate Earth Day by showing you how to check your home’s energy efficiency with just a thermal camera and your phone or mobile device. Melissa Atwood, Senior Environmental Specialist with the City of Alexandria, will explain how to use a thermal camera in your own house, townhome, condo or apartment. Thermal cameras are available for loan from the Alexandria Library and work with Android or iOS systems.
Registration is preferred. Contact Megan at mzimmerman@alexlibraryva.org for more information. This event is part of the City of Alexandria's Earth Month celebration. Check here to find more City-wide events.
