At some time in the not-too-distant future, monsters have taken over the surface of the Earth. The remnants of humanity live in widely dispersed underground bunkers. A young man who was separated from his girlfriend when they took refuge in different bunkers hasn’t found any other romantic prospects during the subsequent seven years. Despite his dubious combat and survival skills, he resolves to make a treacherous 80-mile journey along the surface to be reunited with her.
