Laura Sigelmann, Program Specialist in the Technology Division at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), will explore how digital technologies are affecting the climate crisis.

Laura Sigelmann is a Program Specialist in the Technology Division of the Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub (ITR/T) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). She leads the Technology Division's work on climate change and digital technology, including launching a new initiative under USAID's 2020-2024 Digital Strategy, co-chairing the Hub-wide Climate Task Force, and providing input on USAID’s new 2022-2030 Climate Strategy. Laura holds a Master of Global Policy Studies and Master of Science in Energy and Earth Resources from the University of Texas at Austin, where she specialized in climate security. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University. Laura lives in Washington, DC and enjoys traveling, photography, and cats.
