Community Library: History & Footprint in Del Ray
Tuesday, September 27
6:30pm - 7:30pm
Recall the development and history of the Duncan Branch Library. Answers to questions: Why Del Ray; Who was James M. Duncan, Jr; What About that Green Roof?
Did you know that Duncan Library has the first green roof constructed in Alexandria? Duncan's green roof was sown with a shallow-rooted variety of sedum, also known as stonecrop. It's a drought-resistant perennial with thick, succulent foliage that stores water and self-perpetuates.
