Learn how to identify and report this invasive pest.
The invasive Spotted Lanternfly is sweeping across Virginia and we are looking for it in Alexandria. Originally introduced in the Winchester, VA area in 2018, it has already inundated many of the northern mid Atlantic states and is a major pest of important fruit crops. This presentation from Kirsten Conrad, Agriculture Natural Resource Extension Agent of the
Virginia Cooperative Extension, will tell you why Virginia regulators are concerned about this pest, how to identify it, and how to report it when it does arrive.
