An emotionally isolated barista begins seeing cryptic messages scrawled on the inside of his home and has no idea how they got there. He collects the messages in a notebook and tries to make some sense of them, along the way meeting new people and learning something about how each person influences others. It’s a feel-good story wrapped lovingly around an experience known as cronesthesia: a mental ability enabling awareness of one’s own future, or mental time travel.
