The legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. is one of non violent protest. This sometimes distorts the violent realities he faced from white supremacy.
Dr. Lopez Matthews, Librarian at HU Libraries and Moorland-Spingarn Research Center, Coppin State University Adjunct Professor in United States and African American History will give a talk how Martin Luther King Jr. faced the daily threat of violence in his everyday life.
There will be a brief question and answer session after the talk.
