Join William & Mary's Adrienne Berard for a presentation about her book, “Water Tossing Boulders: How a Family of Chinese Immigrants Led the First Fight to Desegregate Schools in the Jim Crow South.”

The book follows the story of a Chinese family in Mississippi who challenged their local school district's segregated system all the way to the Supreme Court, three decades before Brown v. Board of Education. A question and answer session will follow.
