11:00am - 11:45am
Kate Waller Barrett Branch Library
Story RoomStories, songs, movement games & yoga for ages 2-5. Adult participation is expected. Younger siblings can come along and join in with their big brothers and sisters.
Not a "sit still and listen" sort of story time, Stories to Grow On is designed to foster language development, large motor skills and social growth. Our programs includes books selected to invite audience participation, stories told with puppets, props and other media, and lots of songs and movement games. Yoga is a regular part of the programs. Each week's program includes a take-home handout with book selections, craft ideas and other ways families can continue learning at home.
Stories to Grow On is age appropriate for children ages 2 and up, but younger siblings are welcome to come along with older brothers and sisters to this program. Parents and caregivers should come ready to participate too!
No registration is required, but our Tuesday program repeats on Wednesday, so please choose to come either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Once a month Stories To Grow On becomes"Story Time Yoga." Please check the listings for more information about those events.
